The brief was to create artwork for a gondola in the departures duty free store featuring Australian Crafted Spirits - brands such as Ink Gin, 23rd Street and Four Pillars.

The inspiration behind the design draws from the machines used in distilleries. The style of the design was to be ‘crafty’ to match the nature of the spirits.

The design was also used on a cake stand in the Satellite store and a flexface in the arrivals duty free store.

The brief was to create new artwork for ‘Australian Crafted Spirits’ for the Perth Duty Free stores.

It was a different concept to the one used in the Melbourne Duty Free stores as they wanted something new for the opening of the Perth stores.

The style of the artwork they were after was similar to that of Hendrick’s Gin, which I used as one source of inspiration. It is slightly quirky with the pocket watches hanging down, but it is a lot more restrained and refined to suit the business.
